The Crozon peninsula and its wide choice of leisure activities
Amoungst the surfer community, the peninsula is renowned for its powerful Atlantic rollers. The beaches of Goulien, Kersigouenou, L'Aber, Kerloch, Pen Hat, Lostmarch and La Palue offer optimal conditions to pursue this exiting sport in a setting of outstanding natural beauty. Some of the beaches also provide good conditions for windsurfing, kiteboarding, beach sailing and sport kiting. Occasionally international tournaments are held here.

Sailing in the Bay of Douarnenez and Camaret: There are numerous hire centres and course providers, where lessons for beginners, intermediates or the advanced can be booked. Equipment rental is available for those who are unable to bring their own gear.
Catamarans, yachts, windsurfing equipment, kayaks and motor boats are available for hire at the ports in Morgat and Camaret.
Kayaking in tranquil sea conditions along the coast to Cap de la Chevre, and exploring the caves and grottos of Morgat leaves many a tourist with unforgettable holiday memories. It is practical to hire a waterproof storage barrel in order to keep your gear dry ( towels, camera, clothing and picnic, etc.).
Some of the secluded beaches are only accessible by boat or kayak, the unique landscape and the crystal clear Atlantic Ocean invite one to dream, relax and let the world go by.
In Brittany, anglers do not need a license to fish, a maximum of two rods per person is permitted at any one time. There are sea bass, mackerel, sea bream, rays, conger, monkfish, red mullet, squid, etc. In Crozon and Camaret there sports shops offering a large selection of fishing tackle and accessories.
Ideal for the area is a light spinning rod with braided line, or a beach caster.
Paragliding at Menez Hom
The Menez Hom is popular with paragliders, because of the unique panoramic views over the Crozon peninsula and the bay of Douarnenez. Menez hom is the highest peak in the region.
There is a paragliding schoo, where courses or even a tandem flight can be booked.
Climbing
The steep rockfaces of Pointe de Pen Hir are a popular challenge with climbers and are well known in the scene. Climbing courses are available, information about courses is available from face-Quest.fr.
Mountain biking on the Crozon Peninsula
There are many trails ideal for biking, be sure to observe signs and restrictions, and do not ride in protected areas. If you are unable to bring your own bike, they are available for hire on a daily or weekly basis. Some rental centres will deliver and collect directly to and from your holiday residence, if two or more bikes are supplied for a minimum of one week. Average rent is 50-60 Euros per week.
Donkey Trips
In Lanveoc, the L'Océane riding school and farm provides donkeys for hire. It is a wonderful, relaxing and therapeutic way of discovering the beautiful trails around the peninsula of Crozon. This is especially attractive way of discovering the Presqu’île for families with children, and is a real holiday highlight
Diving
There are four diving schools on the peninsula: two in Crozon and one in Camaret and Roscanvel respectively. The diving club in Morgat ISA is located directly on the marina. The club Leo Lagrange is situated in Camaret-sur-Mer and is well-known by many divers. German and English is spoken there, too.
Horse Riding in Brittany on the Crozon Peninsula
Horse riding facilities are available in Crozon, Landevennec and at L'Aber. Riding courses can be booked for children and beginners, group riding trips to the nearby beaches are offered, too.
Bringing your own horse on holiday with you is also possible. There are many lush meadows available to accommodate your horse, and finding a suitable location doesn’t present a problem at all.
